1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms & Conditions govern the use of the IJSRM website and all services connected with it, including manuscript submission, peer review, and publication. By accessing the website, registering an account, or submitting a manuscript, you accept these terms in full. If you do not accept them, you should not use the website or its services.
2. Open Access Policy
IJSRM is a fully open access journal. All articles are available online free of charge, immediately upon publication, and permanently. No registration, subscription, or payment is required to read, download, or share published content.
Readers may read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, link to the full texts of articles, and use them for any lawful purpose, in accordance with the license under which each article is published (see Section 5). Proper attribution to the authors and to the journal, including the DOI, is required in all cases of reuse.
The journal does not impose embargo periods. Authors are permitted and encouraged to deposit all versions of their work (submitted, accepted, and published) in institutional or subject repositories without restriction.
3. Author Responsibilities and Publication Ethics
IJSRM follows the Core Practices of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and expects all authors, reviewers, and editors to do the same. By submitting a manuscript, the corresponding author confirms, on behalf of all co-authors, that:
- The manuscript is original, has not been published previously (in whole or in substantial part), and is not under consideration by any other journal.
- All persons listed as authors meet the authorship criteria of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE): substantial contribution to the work, participation in drafting or revising it, approval of the final version, and agreement to be accountable for its content. Individuals who do not meet these criteria should be named in the Acknowledgements.
- All authors have approved the submission and agree to the order of authorship. Any change to the author list after submission requires the written consent of every author.
- The data presented are genuine, accurately reported, and available for verification if requested by the editors.
- All sources are properly cited, and permission has been obtained for any copyrighted material reproduced in the manuscript.
- Any actual or potential conflicts of interest, and all sources of funding, are disclosed in the manuscript.
- Research involving human participants was approved by an appropriate ethics committee and conducted in accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki; informed consent was obtained from all participants. Research involving animals complied with applicable institutional and national guidelines. The relevant approval reference number(s) must be stated in the manuscript.
- The use of generative AI tools, if any, is disclosed in the manuscript. AI tools cannot be listed as authors.
All submissions are screened for plagiarism using similarity-detection software. Plagiarism, duplicate submission, data fabrication or falsification, citation manipulation, undisclosed conflicts of interest, or any other breach of publication ethics will lead to rejection and may lead to the notification of the authors' institutions and refusal of future submissions. Suspected misconduct discovered after publication is handled according to COPE guidelines (see Section 8).
4. Peer Review
Every manuscript that passes initial editorial screening is evaluated through double-blind peer review by at least two independent reviewers with expertise in the subject area. Reviewers assess originality, methodological soundness, ethical compliance, and relevance to the journal's scope.
Editorial decisions (acceptance, revision, or rejection) are based solely on the manuscript's academic merit and are made by the handling editor and the Editor-in-Chief. Payment of any fee has no bearing on the editorial decision. The editorial process is described in detail on the Peer Review Process page.
5. Copyright and Licensing
Authors retain the copyright of their work without restriction. Upon acceptance, authors grant IJSRM a non-exclusive right of first publication.
All articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). This license permits unrestricted use, distribution, adaptation, and reproduction in any medium, including for commercial purposes, provided the original authors and source are properly credited. The full license terms are available at https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/.
The applicable license is stated on every published article and embedded in its full-text files. Further details are available on the Rights and License page.
6. Article Processing Charges
IJSRM levies an Article Processing Charge (APC) to cover the costs of peer review administration, production, hosting, DOI registration, and indexing. There are no submission charges, and no charges of any kind are applied after publication.
- The current APC amount is published openly on the Publication Fee page and is communicated to authors before submission.
- The APC is payable only after a manuscript has been accepted following peer review. Payment of the APC does not influence, and cannot secure, editorial acceptance.
- Waivers or discounts may be granted, at the discretion of the editorial office, to authors from low-income countries or those demonstrating financial hardship. Waiver requests should be made at the time of submission and do not affect the editorial decision.
7. Website Accounts and Acceptable Use
Users who register on the website agree to provide accurate information, keep their login credentials confidential, and accept responsibility for activity carried out under their account. The website may not be used for any unlawful purpose, including unauthorized access attempts, spamming, or the distribution of malicious software. IJSRM may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these conditions.
8. Corrections, Retractions, and Withdrawal
Authors may withdraw a manuscript without penalty at any time before acceptance by writing to the editorial office. Withdrawal after acceptance is discouraged and requires a formal request stating the reason.
The journal is committed to maintaining the integrity of the published record. In line with COPE Retraction Guidelines:
- Corrections (errata/corrigenda) are published where a small part of an otherwise reliable article proves to be misleading or erroneous.
- Expressions of concern may be issued while an investigation into possible misconduct is ongoing.
- Retractions are issued where there is clear evidence of unreliable findings, fabrication or falsification, plagiarism, duplicate publication, unethical research, or copyright infringement.
Retracted articles are not removed from the website; they remain available, clearly watermarked as retracted, together with a retraction notice linked to the original article.
9. Digital Preservation
To guarantee long-term access, published content is preserved as described in the journal's Digital Archiving Policy. All articles are assigned Crossref DOIs to ensure persistent identification and citability.
10. Disclaimer
The opinions, findings, and conclusions expressed in published articles are those of the authors alone and do not necessarily reflect the views of IJSRM, its editors, or the publisher. While every reasonable effort is made to ensure the accuracy of published content through peer review and editorial checking, the journal and publisher accept no liability for any loss or damage arising from reliance on the material published.
11. Website Availability and Third-Party Content
IJSRM endeavours to keep the website available at all times but does not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation. The website may contain links to external sites; IJSRM is not responsible for the content, availability, or privacy practices of third-party websites.
