Bryan Burgos-Arzola

Bryan A. Burgos Arzola is a doctoral candidate in Environmental Sciences with a concentration in Biology at Universidad Ana G. Méndez, Gurabo Campus, Puerto Rico. He holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Sciences with a focus on Agroecology, a Bachelor’s degree in Biology with an emphasis in Tropical Ecology, and a professional certificate in Management. His academic and research interests include sustainable agroecology, plant biotechnology, soil–plant–microbe interactions, biological nitrogen fixation, environmental sustainability, and crop productivity. His research has focused on cowpea (Vigna unguiculata), particularly the application of Rhizobium spp., in vitro plant regeneration, and beneficial soil microorganisms as strategies to enhance crop performance and promote sustainable agricultural systems. In addition to his research activities, Burgos Arzola is a science educator committed to integrating environmental science, sustainability, and scientific inquiry into education. His professional goals center on advancing research and education that contribute to sustainable agriculture, environmental protection, and the responsible management of natural resources.
